Pakistan: Lifebuoy School of 5

Lifebuoy's new CSR journey aims to reach out to students all over Pakistan and inculcate the habit of hand washing with soap in a fun and exciting way.

Lifebuoy School of 5 - Children 1Lifebuoy’s newest venture in the battle against  germs is its "School of 5" Program which aims to educate and train school children regarding the importance of hand washing with soap in an engaging way.

Lifebuoy’s campaign will coach children to adopt a conscious habit of washing hands with soap on the 5 key occasions of the day; before breakfast, before lunch, before dinner, post defecation, and during shower. The learning and behavior change will be done in a very appealing way for children. The habit will be inculcated in to the children’s mind with the help of comic books, quizzes, activities and games.

Lifebuoy and its Partners

Lifebuoy School of 5 - Children 2Lifebuoy believes that being healthy and safe is the right of every child. Hence, the message of washing hands with soap should reach each and every child of Pakistan. Along with communication on Mass Media, Lifebuoy is partnering with 3 NGO’s this year and will be using their networks to go into the rural schools of Pakistan.

The partners for this program are; Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA), World Food Program (WFP), and Friendship International. Through its School of 5 Program and with the help of its partners, Lifebuoy is planning to reach out 8000 schools and 2 million students this year and encourage them to live “The Lifebuoy way of Life”.
