Grant Scheme

Unilever Pakistan launched its Annual Grant Schemes in 2008 for community projects. This is an annual program to make a positive contribution to the improvement of living standard of the Pakistani people and to bring to reality Unilever’s Vitality Mission.

With the main focus on hygiene, nutrition and enhancing livelihood Unilever Pakistan Limited will sponsor organizations working on initiatives or projects in these areas. Eligible organizations should demonstrate their full commitment and determination to completely deliver the target outcomes of their project.

Every year Unilever will sponsor 5-10 project. Applications are accepted from February – June 2011 provided they fall within the set criteria set for the scheme.

As of date Unilever has supported 11 projects from 2008 to 2010 and granted funds of over PKR 2,000,000.

Projects supported in 2010

Unilever Pakistan announced the 2 community projects chosen by our panel of judges, which are focused in the areas of water supply through hand pumps and basic health facilities. These projects will effect and improve the lives of more than 10,000 men, women and children in Dalo Khel and Abba Khel in the District of Lakki Marwat and Dumba Goth on Main Super Highway Karachi Town. The NGOs will submit their project reports on a quarterly basis and at the completion of the project, for evaluation and record, based on which they will be presented the Unilever Grant Scheme Certificate.
