Launched in 2023, the Kids Who Work program, is a 3-week experiential learning program targeted at our employees’ kids of age 15 to 19. The program offers an opportunity to these teenagers to experience the professional world firsthand before they choose their career pathways.
Recognizing that teenagers are at a critical juncture in their lives, we have crafted the program in such a way that it helps these teens discover their true calling. The journey begins with an engaging vision quest, where participants are encouraged to look within and find what they would like to stand for. This exercise culminates in the crafting of personal purpose statements, providing a foundation for their career exploration.
Immersive Learning Experiences
To offer comprehensive experiential learning we planned a diverse range of activities. From market visits to design challenges, the program immerses participants in the ways of working of various business functions. These young individuals get the chance to solve real brand briefs alongside industry experts, gaining insights that are typically reserved for seasoned professionals. Most importantly, they were given projects to work on in groups which not only teaches them the basics of teamwork and collaboration but allows them to come up with innovative ideas and build on their problem-solving and presentation and communication skills.
Bridge to the Future
The Kids Who Work program goes beyond traditional learning methods by providing a sneak peek into the future. Be it through functional 101s of our own departments or taking them to university visits to explore various programs being offered and what the campus life would look like.
Through this program, we aim to not only nurture young talent but also create a pipeline of future leaders who are empowered through making informed decisions. We are hopeful that these young minds, armed with purpose and experience, will drive the country’s success in the years to come.
