Unilever Pakistan Stuns at PAS Awards 2012!
At the glittering second Pakistan Advertisers Society (PAS) Awards, held on 18th May, 2012, Unilever Pakistan swept the night with seven awards!
At the glittering second Pakistan Advertisers Society (PAS) Awards, held on 18th May, 2012, Unilever Pakistan swept the night with seven awards! The PAS Awards acknowledge and honour the best of the best in marketing and advertising communication, with a stated objective to “raise the standard of advertising in Pakistan”.
Along with winning The Campaign of the Year, the most prestigious award of the evening, Unilever Pakistan, also won laurels for the brand campaigns for Knorr, Paddle Pop, Sunlight and Vim. Unilever Pakistan received the most awards from amongst a total of 130 submissions in 26 categories. Upon hearing this news, Paul Polman commented, “Well done and glad to see; could not be more deserving.”
Vim received the award for the “Best Marketing Campaign of the Year” while also winning in the category of “Household Care” for its launch campaign that brought focus on dishes having grease problems and in need of rescue.
Knorr bagged two awards for the launch of Knorr Soupy Noodles and the re-launch of Knorr Chicken Cubes.
Knorr Soupy Noodles premiumize the Instant Noodles category by creating a unique and differentiated segment i.e. a winning combination of the Health of Soup and the Fun of Noodles.
Knorr Chicken Cubes were re-launched with new product formulation, packaging and communication, supported by an extensive 360 plan which included endorsements by celebrity chefs, extensive activations, and relevant consumer promotions.
Sunlight won for the best campaign in Fabric Care category. Launched in May 2011, Sunlight has won over the hearts and minds of rural consumers in Pakistan by transforming the mundane chore of washing clothes into a sensory indulgence.
Sunsilk, a brand known for regularly bringing out new variants and exciting propositions, won an award for the Best Advertising campaign in the Cosmetic and Personal Care category on the launch of “Sunsilk Lively Clean & Fresh”, the first ever variant for covered hair in Pakistan. The campaign was on-air as a complete solution for covered hair needs on TV, print, innovative outdoor media and superb on-ground and in-store execution.
Wall’s Paddle Pop received the laurel for the best campaign in the Ice Cream and Desserts category. Paddle Pop’s launches for 2011 were spearheaded by its adventure-themed IBC ‘Elemagika’, which saw Paddle Pop battle Forces of Nature and the Shadow Master. This idea was executed through an intense kids-targeted campaign.
